Despite torrential rain on the Friday night the organisers of the Illawarra Festival of Wood managed to put on a great show which attracted double the amount of visitors from the previous year. The main attraction is the huge marquee full of working artisans demonstrating their crafts and others providing an opportunity to make everything from stools, shaker boxes, buckets, spoons and chopsticks.
There were also woodworking activities for kids.
In the main hall there were tool and timber sales along with furniture displays. There was also an exhibition of locally made fine furniture – not to be missed!
